About Prudence

Prudence was founded in March 2026 by Michael Johnson Jr (mathematician and singer), Keithan Funk (audio engineer), and Dylan Howard (audio engineer).

What started as a working relationship between music makers, our relationship evolved into a proper company whose goal is to simulate retro sound.

Our values

Here at Prudence, we believe in Love and originality. Something made with human hands means not only is it original, but it is made with Love. Needless to say, we are not fans of AI. The reality is deep and has even metaphysical implications.

Further, we do not use third party libraries nor frameworks, and all processing is done in the browser. This is for originality, for speed, and for security.

Indeed: Prudence is 100% vanilla JavaScript, html, and css. The technology stack is basic, but, while Prudence is easy to use, it is not basic.

We are solving problems which have not been solved, and creating systems which had not been conceived.

And we are actively in development, adding new features periodically.
